Number of delinquent companies up 9.39% in September

The number of defaulted companies in the country grew 9.39% in September, compared to the same month last year, released today (29) the National Confederation of Shopkeepers (CNDL) and the Credit Protection Service (SPC Brazil) . According to the entities, the Southeast Region pulled the growth, with a high of 17.16%. Default also rose in other regions, but at a slower pace: 4.6% in the South; 4.38% in the Midwest; 2.78% in the Northeast and 1.83% in the North.
According to the survey, most debtor companies operate in commerce. They are primarily for service companies. For the CNDL, the persistence of economic difficulties, with the maintenance of unemployment at high levels and the drop in business turnover, continues to affect the ability of companies to pay. For the entity, the expectation of recovery of the economy stronger in 2018 did not materialize.
