Focus: Market raises projection of IPCA, reduces dollar and maintains GDP in 2018

The Central Bank on Monday released another edition of the Focus report. The weekly survey conducted with market analysts points to an increase in the IPCA at the end of the year, from 4.40% to 4.43%. For 2019, the analysts estimate is that the official inflation rate ends the period now is 4.21%, 0.01 point up from last week.
For the exchange rate, there was a reduction in projections for 2018, with economists seeing the dollar reaching at the end of the year at R $ 3.81 and not more R $ 3.89. For the closing of 2019, the bet was also reduced, from R $ 3.83 to R $ 3.80.
The numbers for this year and the next calendar were also unchanged for the Selic rate, with analysts betting at 6.50% at the close of 2018 and 8.00% in 2019. By 2020, the average is at 8.38% . In relation to the growth of the Brazilian economy, the Focus survey kept GDP at 1.34% in 2018 and remaining at 2.50% in 2019.
