Brazilian industries receive more, but pay less to employees, says CNI

The hours worked in the production, like the invoicing of the industries, grew in the month of August. However time of stay in the service and salary mass fell. The results are from CNI - Industrial Indicators by the National Confederation of Industry.
"The Industrial indicators of August show the fragility of the labor market and an oscillating behavior of the activity, which hinders the recovery of a more lasting and consistent recovery trajectory," the company estimates.
Last month, the real sales of the industries showed growth of 2.4% compared to July and 5.5% in relation to the first seven months of the year. Likewise, the hours worked also showed improvements: 1% from July to August and 0.8% in the annual part. As industries earn more and increase their level of activity, companies are also paying less.
The CNI reported that the wage bill fell 0.8% from August to July and 1.4% from the first eight months of the year. The average income of the worker also fell; about 0.4% compared to two months ago (last mentioned date) and 1.8% on a yearly basis. According to the CNI, this is the fifth consecutive drop in this indicator.
